The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) is delighted to announce the theme for this year’s National Conference 2025:
Creating Connections, Engaging All, Enriching Lives.
300 education professionals will be meeting on Wednesday 12th November 2025 at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds to share practice, collaborate, and pick up new ideas to help them take more of their teaching and learning beyond the classroom.
Learning outside the classroom (LOtC) offers unlimited opportunities to create meaningful, inclusive experiences for all — regardless of ability, gender, social background, or culture. By extending learning beyond traditional classroom walls, we can engage and inspire learners, build life skills, enhance academic achievement, and support well-being.
Taking learning beyond the classroom foster relevance and meaningful connections—to communities, society, and the environment. These experiences not only enhance academic achievement but also celebrate diversity, strengthen links between individuals and communities, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning and a profound sense of belonging.
