LOTC Mark Direct

The LOtC Mark is a quality assurance scheme that supports and celebrates schools and educational settings who provide meaningful experiences beyond the classroom across the whole curriculum, indoors and out, on and off-site. 

The LOtC Mark Direct pathway gives schools and educational settings a LOtC Progress Tracker: a framework to help you review, plan, develop and evaluate your provision to meet your students’ needs. It is suitable for settings at the start of their journey and those looking to progress.

  • supports your students’ health and well-being, and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs.

Who can apply?

LOtC Mark Direct is suitable for Early Years settings, Primary and Secondary schools, SEND/ALN schools and some Alternative Provision settings with criteria to reflect their differing approaches and needs. Individual departments in secondary schools can apply at Bronze level, championing learning beyond the classroom for their school.

The Process

Cost

£275 (£325 from 1st April 2024) payable at the start of your journey.  This fee includes the LOtC Progress Tracker, online induction, Learning Beyond support guides, online support sessions and assessment for the LOtC Mark. It also includes free CLOtC membership for one year whilst you work through the progress tracker to access online CPD sessions and other resources, and two more years when you hold the LOtC Mark.

You are required to be assessed within one year of your induction or you will be charged the full fee to continue. 

Renewals cost £275 (no price increase in 2024).
