We are so pleased to announce the launch of our new online learning platform that we have been working on for the last year to support schools working on the LOtC Mark Direct pathway or who are being mentored.
The learning platform is a comprehensive step-by-step guide for schools who are working to embed learning beyond the classroom and using the LOtC Mark Progress Tracker* as a framework to help them develop the LOtC provision at their school. It offers:
- Information and advice about things schools should be considering and examples of how to achieve these goals.
- Real examples from LOtC Mark schools to demonstrate what they do and share good practice.
- Video guides from LOtC Mark schools and other LOtC experts.
- Downloadable guides.
- The assessment criteria for each section of the progress tracker so they know what to aim for should they wish to submit for assessment.

*The LOtC Mark Progress Tracker is a tool provided to schools who sign up to the LOtC Mark Direct or Mentoring Programme – it is a framework that schools can use to assess the current provision at their school and use to develop actions to work towards.

We wanted to develop something that teachers and schools staff could use alongside the LOtC Mark progress tracker that was engaging but simple to follow and provide real examples of how other schools have approached certain aspects of their LOtC to give a better insight or provide inspiration - something we know is extremely valuable. With the Learning Platform now in place we hope that schools who are developing their LOtC will benefit even more from the support, deepening their understanding of the value of providing learning beyond the classroom experiences that are planned, evaluated and impactful.

Schools who sign up to the LOtC Mark Direct or Mentoring pathways can access the Learning Platform on the CLOtC Portal – a CRM system that was launched last year to help us better communicate and work with our schools, providers, members, assessors, mentors.
Schools, providers and members can log into the CLOtC portal to manage their account, access resources and information, upload relevant documents (for the LOtC Mark for schools or LOtC Quality Badge for providers), and manage their memberships.
Plans are now underway to develop a Learning Platform for providers to offer training guides, videos and cases studies, to support them in developing and improving the educational programmes they offer to schools, and to keep up to date with changes in policy and guidance.
