Providers are constantly having to adapt and develop their educational provision to meet the needs of different schools and community groups and the challenges they face in terms of resources, time and financial pressures. Offering a different range of educational programmes, however, can also open doors to building new relationships with schools and settings that would not have necessarily engaged previously. Offering outreach has become more popular over the last few years with an increase in virtual visits, loan boxes, teacher training, or taking activities to the setting. In this session, Liz MacKenzie, Schools Lead from The Ernest Cook Trust, will explain their diverse approach to working with and building long-term relationships with schools and community groups working on and off-site.
