The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) are excited to invite workshop proposals for the CLOtC National Conference 2025, taking place on Wednesday 12th November 2025, at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
This year’s conference theme is: Creating Connections, Engaging All, Enriching Lives.
We are looking for engaging and informative workshops that inspire delegates and offer practical ideas they can take away. Workshops should align with the conference theme which encourages discussions on creating connections, inclusivity, accessibility, and enriching lives through learning beyond the classroom.
Workshop Details:
- Sessions will run for approximately 50-60 minutes
- Two streams: workshops for schools/educational settings and workshops for providers
- Maximum 30 delegates per session
- Workshops must include interactive elements, such as practical activities or discussions and can take place indoors or outdoors
- All presentations/resources will be shared with delegates after the event
- Workshops should not be promotional but must provide valuable insights and ideas
- Accepted workshop presenters will receive one free place at the conference and promotion on marketing and communication materials
We particularly encourage proposals that explore:
- Connecting learners with the environment, community, society or curriculum
- Strategies for inclusive and accessible learning beyond the classroom or case studies on examples of how LOtC offers inclusive learning experiences for all
- Innovative approaches to engaging all learners
- Practical techniques for enriching learning outside the classroom
