LOtC Quality Badge Applications – Nature, Countryside and Farming with Technical Risk Management

For providers offering activities in a natural environment where there is a need for technical risk management – where students are:

  • Entering water or the intertidal zone e.g. shore ecology, beach profiling to collect measurements/samples
  • Working in remote areas or areas with difficult access without vehicle access
  • Working as small groups away from direct supervision
  • Using tools as part of practical conservation, bushcraft or Forest School activities. 

 

And for providers within a working form or similar venue where livestock, soil or horticultural inputs, products or equipment may be handled in a day visit or residential setting.

Process for single site organisations

  • Download the LOtC Quality Badge Application Guidance Notes V7 to see the quality indicators you will be measured against and the evidence required. 
  • When you are ready to start your application complete the registration form below.
  • You will be contacted shortly to confirm that you are applying via the correct sector and will be given access to an online portal to download the Self Evaluation Form (SEF).
  • Use the guidance notes to complete the SEF and upload it along with supporting evidence, and follow the instructions to submit your application.
  • Once reviewed, you will be emailed an invoice and a LOtC Quality Badge Holders’ Agreement to sign. 
  • Once your assessment fee is paid you will be contacted by an assessor to arrange your online meeting and onsite visit.

Cost

£590 per site for 2 years.
