CLOtC assess applications for activities and venues that fall within the scope of everyone’s experience, such as visits to theatres, art galleries, museums, historic houses, science learning centres, zoos, theme parks, places of worship, parks and woodlands, allotments and gardens, city farms and some nature reserves/field studies. It also covers providers going into school such as mobile planetariums, non-specialist sports coaches, cooking schools and theatre groups.

Everyday Risk (Day) and (Residential)
For activities/venues that fall within the scope of everyone’s experience offered to day visitors only and/or offering residential facilities including residential centres, camping, hotels, hostels and night in the museum opportunities. You must not be offering higher risk activities like fire lighting, high ropes courses, aquaparks.
Process
- Download the LOtC Quality Badge Application Guidance Notes V7 to see the quality indicators you will be measured against and the evidence required.
- When you are ready to start your application complete the registration form below.
- You will be contacted shortly to confirm that you are applying via the correct sector and will be given access to an online portal to download the Self Evaluation Form (SEF).
- Use the guidance notes to complete the SEF and upload it along with your supporting evidence, and follow the instructions to submit your application.
- Once reviewed, you will be emailed an invoice and a LOtC Quality Badge Holders’ Agreement to sign.
- On receipt of payment: for Everyday Risks (Day) – an assessor will undertake a desktop audit of your application and for Everyday Risks (Residentials) – an assessor will be assigned to conduct an online review and onsite visit.

Cost
Everyday risk (Day) – £270 per site for two years
Everyday risk (Residential) – £590 per site for two years
