Educational visits in safe hands

The Science Museum Group provide a range of learning outside the classroom (LOtC) experiences for children and young people. With awe-inspiring authentic objects, cutting-edge science stories and hands-on activities, their museums celebrate science and technology in an environment that engages all types of learners.

The Science Museum Group are proud LOtC Quality Badge holders for all of their sites, which means they have been thoroughly assessed for both their quality of risk management and learning offer. Booking a visit with a provider who holds the LOtC Quality Badge also reduces paperwork for teachers as the scheme is endorsed by English and Welsh governments. Find out more about the importance of the LOtC Quality Badge and locate awarded providers near you via our searchable map, here.

“We’re delighted to be a LOtC Quality Badge holder. Inspiring our young visitors with the wonder of science underpins all the work we do here at the Science Museum Group and we know that having this recognition is a helpful pointer for educators wanting to ensure they get the most out of their visit.”
