Reframing Behaviour: How we work with stressed behaviour in the outdoors

Tuesday 18th July @ 9:00 am - Thursday 20th July @ 5:00 pm

£325

An event organised by The Garden Classroom and delivered by Jon Cree.

For anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of ‘behaviour’ expressed by learners of any age, and how working outdoors within a natural space can be a catalyst for change. The underlying ethos/methodology of the course is one of problem solving through difficulties and working with learner centred and ecological centred practices.

This 3-day course will unpick theory and look at real life case studies. The days will be participatory and crammed full of tips, ideas, and activities that can be used in any natural setting. Importantly the course will encourage participants to look at themselves and ways of self-regulating in order to support regulation with the learners in the groups we work with in the outdoors.

We will also be exploring why natural settings are essential to behavioural regulation.

Who this event is for? Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, Outdoor Educators, Forest School Practitioners, Home School Educators, Play Workers.

Where and when will this event take place? This is a three day event from 18th July to the 20th July, 9am to 5pm. It will take place in North London (exact venue TBC).
