An opportunity to share best practice, network and explore different methods to engage young people in plant study.
Outline of the session:
- Welcome and introductions
- Engaging young people in habitats with plants – Sharing top activities are: Jill (RHS Hyde Hall) introducing the campaign for school gardening resources and herb cutting, Stephen from (Wat Tyler Country Park) with how to demystify photosynthesis and Karen (Lee Valley Regional Park) sharing games to engage students in plant biology. Additional activities most welcome just let us know if you would like to share something?
- Tour of Essex Outdoors site with Michelle
- News and sharing best practice session- Please come with your news, any queries and feel welcome to share a top activity of yours on any outdoor learning topic.
- Discussion on next training session – potential to fund an external provider
