The LOtC Advisory Group:
Since taking on the role as the national voice for learning outside the classroom (LOtC), the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom recognises the need to ensure it accurately reflects and supports the views of its members and the wider LOtC stakeholders. In order to do so, the CLOtC benefits from the expertise and independent advice provided by the LOtC Advisory Group (LOtCAG).
The group comprises a range of independent LOtC experts, representing a diverse range of users and providers from the subject associations to the school workforce unions. Together, members act as a critical friend of the CLOtC advising on the development of the Council’s strategic plans and contributing to their delivery. LOtCAG members are an invaluable communications channel providing feedback from and disseminating messages to their extended networks and on-the-ground LOtC stakeholders.
Sector Partnerships:
Each of the CLOtC’s 10 sectors are also represented on the LOtC Advisory Group through Sector Partnerships. These partnerships are a useful network of organisations and individuals offering advice and support on sector specific issues relating to learning outside the classroom and the LOtC Quality Badge. The 10 Sector Partnerships are:
- heritage
- arts and creativity
- school grounds
- sacred places
- the built environment
- the natural environment
- farming and countryside
- adventure activities
- expeditions abroad
- study, sports and cultural tours
