Outdoor Education Practitioners and Professionals from all corners of the UK will attend the Institute for Outdoor Learning 2-day Conference.

Develop your core skills

A series of funded half day and twilight training sessions focusing on Inspiring Learning for All (ILFA), Leadership Development and Teaching Outside the Classroom (TOTC) are being offered across the North, East, West and London areas of England, as part of the MLA Strategic Commissioning CPD programme. Participants can ‘mix and match’ up to three training offers per day.

The Great Outdoors Photographic Competition 2010

Following the success of last year’s inaugural competition, AHOEC and NAHT have once again joined forces to promote learning outside of the classroom by running the Great Outdoors Photographic 2010 Competition.

Working with Challenging Behaviour in the Outdoors part 1

This day is aimed at Forest school leaders in particular and will look at the factors that lead to challenging behaviour including culture, self and place, the neural links to behaviour, triggers and socio/economic factors. We will then move into looking at de-escalation skills and leaders interactions with challenging behaviour. Policies, legislation and case studies will be examined during the day. Those who attend this course can go on to participate in the 2 day Part 2 accredited course on March 14th/15th; it also stands alone as an introduction. If you attend both courses there is a 10% reduction in cost. Trainers: Simon Shakespeare, Sarah Robertshaw and Jon Cree Cost £135.00
