Become dino scientists for the day using scientific skills to work out the diet, movement and habitat of ancient fossil animals. Pupils will be given white lab-coats and scientist logbooks as they take up the Dino-Scientist challenge in the incredible galleries.
Please note that the class teacher will need to refer to pre-visit information, brief pupils and adult helpers and lead the activity. Accompanying adults are expected to read through activity instructions and work with the pupils. There are pre-activities available on the website.
 
The learning themes for this activity are ideas and evidence, investigative skills, choosing and evaluating evidence, teeth and feeding, bones and movement, dinosaurs.
 
60 minutes, 32 places. This activity is self guided and suitable for Key Stage 2: Years 3-4. New for spring term. We are able to accommodate three classes from the same school in three consecutive slots back-to-back (eg 10.30, 11.30, 12.30).
